French Toast Soufflé

French Toast Soufflé is great for bunch or breakfast. Make it the night before and enjoy the next morning.

French Toast Soufflé ingredients
Makes 8 to 10 servings
8 slices thick-slices white bread cubed (suggest "Texas Toast" bread)
2 (8-oz) pkgs of cream cheese, cubed
1 dozen eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup maple syrup, plus extra for serving


Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease 9- x 13-inch pan.

Line bottom of pan with half the bread (4 slices). Add the cream cheese cubes and then the remaining bread.

Whip eggs, milk and syrup together and pour over the top of bread and cream cheese. Cover and let set overnight.

Bake at 350ºF for 40 minutes, or until firm. Serve with warmed maple syrup.
