Foolproof Baked Brown Rice | Cooks' Illustrated

Thanks to a viewer at Veg Web, I found this recipe. Cooks' Illustrated uses a ratio of 2-1/3 cups liquid to 1-1/2 cups brown rice. As I do not subscribe to Cooks' Illustrated, I rely upon the VegWeb.com viewer's adaptation:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Rinse the rice until the water is clear (this takes longer with white rice). Pour washed rice into Pyrex baking dish. Add liquid and a splash of EVOO; cover with foil. Bake for about one hour (white rice cooks little quicker).
I learned from experience: do not spray or grease the baking dish. Also, and perhaps it's just my oven, I find a shorter cooking time necessary to avoid scorching the rice.
