Savory Crescent Chicken Squares ingredients
Makes 41 (3-oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
3 Tbsp melted margarine (divided use)
2 cups cooked and cubed chicken
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp chopped chives or onion
1 Tbsp chopped pimiento
1 (8-oz) can Pillsbury Refrigerated Quick Crescent Dinner Rolls
3/4 cup crushed seasoned croutons
DirectionsPreheat oven to 350ºF.
Blend cream cheese and 2 Tbsp of the melted margarine until smooth. Add the chicken and next 5 ingredients (salt through pimiento); mix well.
Separate Crescent Dinner Rolls into 4 rectangles, and seal perforations.
Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull four corners of dough to center of mixture, and seal.
Using the remaining 1 Tbsp melted margarine, brush tops of each sandwich; dip in the crushed seasoned croutons.
On an ungreased cookie sheet, bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve warm. Then, refrigerate any leftovers.
